Lexie Hull is a talented American basketball player currently competing for the Indiana Fever in the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA). She made her mark in college basketball with the Stanford Cardinal, achieving three All-Pac-12 selections, clinching a national championship in her junior year, and earning the Senior CLASS Award and Elite 90 Award in her senior season.
Lexie Lauren Hull was born on September 13, 1999, in Liberty Lake, Washington, United States. Her journey in basketball began at Central Valley High School in Spokane Valley, Washington, where she contributed to her team’s success by winning two state titles and was recognized as a five-star recruit by ESPN. She received prestigious accolades, including being named the Washington Gatorade Player of the Year, the AP Class 4A Player of the Year, and the MVP of the Greater Spokane League. In high school, Lexie Hull was an active member of the Spokane Stars on the AAU circuit. Alongside basketball, she dedicated four years to track, earning all-conference honors, and played one year of varsity volleyball at Central Valley. As a passionate track and field athlete, she competed at the State Championships, achieving a commendable ninth place in her senior year.
Lexie Hull debuted for Stanford College on November 7, 2018, where she recorded an impressive 11 points, 11 rebounds, and four steals, leading her team to a 71–43 victory over UC Davis. She etched her name in the program’s history as the first freshman to achieve a double-double in her debut. Despite facing a left foot injury that sidelined her for nine games, she earned an honorable mention on the Pac-12 All-Freshman team. By her sophomore year, she secured a position as a full-time starter, averaging 13.6 points, six rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game, which led to her receiving All-Pac-12 and Pac-12 All-Defensive accolades.
During her junior year, Lexie Hull shined with a season-high of 24 points in a 75–55 win over UCLA at the 2021 Pac-12 Tournament final, earning a spot on the all-tournament team. In the Elite Eight of the NCAA tournament, she scored 21 points and pulled down nine rebounds, helping her team to a 78–63 victory over Louisville, which also got her recognized on the Final Four all-tournament team. This was her third Pac-12 Tournament title. As a senior, she averaged 12.5 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 2.2 steals per game, earning her third straight All-Pac-12 honors. On April 4, 2022, she announced she would be entering the 2022 WNBA draft.
Lexie Hull was chosen as the sixth overall pick by the Indiana Fever in the 2022 WNBA draft, even though most media outlets had her projected as a late first-round or second-round selection.
In 2023, she took part in Athletes Unlimited Pro Basketball, finishing 8th on the leaderboard and receiving honors as both the Defensive Player of the Year and Teammate of the Year. For the 2024 season of Athletes Unlimited, Hull was named team captain in the first week, ended up 20th on the leaderboard, and was again selected for AU’s All-Defensive Team.
On October 30, 2024, it was announced that Lexie Hull would participate in the inaugural 2025 season of Unrival.
